The Challenge

The Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee was working hard to win the 2012 Olympic bid. It was coming down to the final weeks before the United States Olympic Committee would choose the American city that would be submitted to the International Olympic Committee.

The Solution

Tager Group went to BASOC and proposed an event that would help generate national publicity and give one last final shot at winning the bid. The event was Rally for 2012 and it was conducted before a collegiate football game just one week before the final USOC selection.

Results

We worked with BASOC and Bay Area Olympians to organize the rally with speakers, youth clinics and more. The announcement was covered by all broadcast stations locally and also received national media coverage. The football game became a celebration of the bid. All who participated had a great time.
